Chameleon takes kids from Slovoville to Movies In December 2004, 20 kids from the informal settlement, Slovoville (in Roodepoort, Gauteng) were picked up by Chameleon Casting in our bus, and taken to The Zone (a large shopping mall) in Rosebank. Here they saw the movie 'Polar Express' and enjoyed sweets and drinks. Management from Ster Kinekor were wonderful, and provided us with tables, so we could serve the children hotdogs and dessert in their foyer. The children were also given presents. Some of the children had never left Slovoville before, and were rigid with excitement. They would have been happy just spending the day on the escalators!
